Opening of Geological Mapping in Geological Engineering, Universitas Trisakti

The Opening Event of Geological Mapping for the Even Semester of Academic Year 2022/2023 was held in Banyumas, Purwokerto, Central Java on Sunday, July 16, 2023.

The event was attended and directly opened by the Dean of FTKE, Dr. Ir. Muhammad Burhannudinnur, M.Sc, IPM., accompanied by the Secretary of the Study Program and the Coordinator of Geological Mapping for that semester, Mr. Mohammad Apriniyadi, M.Sc. Also present at the event were the Supervising Lecturers:

1. Dr. Ir. Dwi Fitri Yudiantoro, M.T (Lecturer at Geological Engineering Department, UPN)
2. Muhammad Adimas Amri, S.T,. M.T
3. Firman Herdiansyah, S.T,. M.T
3. Dr. Rendy, S.T,. M.Eng

The participants in this semester’s geological mapping consist of 14 students divided into 3 groups, and the mapping locations are spread across several administrative areas in Banyumas, including Purwokerto, Aji Barang, and Wangon.

In addition to the opening ceremony, a pre-test was conducted to assess the students’ abilities before heading to the field. There was also a guest lecture on the theme of Regional Geology of Banyumas delivered by a Guest Lecturer from UPN Veteran Yogyakarta, Dr. Ir. Dwi Fitri Yudiantoro, M.T.

Geological mapping is the ultimate goal of a geology student, where they are required to be able to conduct mapping effectively according to the geological principles learned in their lectures. Hopefully, this activity can proceed smoothly without any obstacles, so that students can acquire maximum knowledge in the field and gain adequate skills to support the achievement of competencies in the Geological Engineering Program.
