The opening event of the Field Study for the Even Semester of the Academic Year 2022/2023 took place at the Geology Field Campus in Bayat, Klaten, Central Java, on August 7, 2023. The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Engineering Geology, Dr. Ir. Suryo Prakoso, M.T., and was attended in person by Dr. Suherman Dwi Nuryana, S.T., M.T., who serves as the Head of the Geological Engineering Study Program and also the Coordinator of the Field Study for the semester, along with the presence of supervising lecturers.

The participants in this semester’s Field Study consist of 35 students, who effectively began a series of Field Study activities from August 6th to August 26th, 2023

The purpose of the Field Study activities is to enhance students’ understanding of geological materials in theory, as taught in their regular coursework. This is then emphasized through fieldwork introduction and mastery of field geological methods, with the hope of producing geology students with competent and adequate skills to support the competency goals of the Geological Engineering Program.
